"This event is a labor of love," remarked Johnny Miller, Tournament host, NBC analyst and PGA Hall of Fame champion. "We're very pleased to announce our first year's association with the Children's Miracle Network."
David Lisonbee, 4Life Founder and CEO: "This is 4Life's second year sponsoring the Tournament's Million-Dollar Hole In One. We're very pleased to associate with a PGA-sanctioned event dedicated to raising funds for the Children's Miracle Network."
The Children's Miracle Network (CMN) represents 174 children's hospitals throughout the United States that admit children in need of health care, regardless of their circumstance. An estimated 17 million children receive health care from CMN Hospitals every year.
"This is exactly the type of high-profile, family-oriented event that distinguishes our great state of Utah," says Steve Tew, 4Life President. "This is an event with heart that attracts people in order to help people, which is what 4Life is all about."
The Champion’s Challenge, founded by Miller, attracts a host of renown golfers including Jack Nicklaus, Annika Sorenstam, Gary Player, Mike Weir, Craig Stadler, Camilo Villegas, Billy Casper and many others.
Despite celebrity participation, Tournament officials underscore the sporting event's deeper significance. "This tournament is about family," says Miller, an event dedicated to "give back to families in need across North America."
"4Life is committed to building families through science, service, and success," Lisonbee concludes. "Everyone at 4Life is rooting for a participant to hit the hole in one this year. We'd enjoy nothing more than to present the million-dollar check, which we've already printed in anticipation of some lucky participant's good fortune."
